REFURBISHED CONLEY 9" / 12" SPIN CASTING MACHINE – FISHING JIGS, SINKERS, LURES – VARIABLE SPEED – 110V – TESTED EXCELLENT

DESCRIPTION

Available for immediate sale is a Conley 9" / 12" Centrifugal Spin Casting Machine, professionally refurbished, tested, and running excellent.

This machine is designed for centrifugal casting using 9" or 12" silicone rubber molds and is an excellent production system for manufacturing fishing jigs, sinkers, weights, lure components, pewter parts, jewelry, belt buckles, miniature figurines, emblems, decorative hardware, and numerous other small cast-metal products.

Spin casting was used extensively for many years in the jewelry and decorative metal industries and remains an extremely efficient manufacturing process for producing multiple small castings from a single rubber mold.

Today, one of the applications we particularly recommend these machines for is the fishing tackle industry.

Traditional fishing jigs and sinkers are commonly produced by manually pouring molten lead into aluminum molds. With conventional gravity casting, the operator must clamp the mold, pour the metal, allow it to solidify, open the mold, remove the parts, and typically cut relatively large gates from the finished castings.

Spin casting offers a very different production method.

The centrifugal force generated by the spinning mold helps drive molten metal through smaller gates and into multiple mold cavities. Depending upon the size and configuration of the part, numerous jigs, sinkers, weights or other components can be produced during a single casting cycle.

The smaller gates possible with centrifugal casting can also substantially reduce the amount of clipping, sanding and secondary finishing required after casting.

For a fishing tackle manufacturer looking to increase production beyond conventional hand-poured aluminum molds, a spin casting system can be an excellent alternative.

IDEAL FOR FISHING TACKLE PRODUCTION

Spin casting is particularly well suited for manufacturing:

• Fishing jig heads

• Lead sinkers

• Fishing weights

• Lure components

• Small lead castings

• Pewter components

• Zinc / Zamak components

• Decorative metal parts

• Small production castings

Compared with conventional hand-poured aluminum molds, centrifugal spin casting can provide several production advantages:

• Multiple parts can be incorporated into a single rubber mold

• Faster production of multiple castings per cycle

• Centrifugal force assists metal flow into smaller cavities

• Smaller gates can often be utilized

• Reduced gate clipping and secondary finishing

• Rapid mold changes

• Relatively inexpensive rubber tooling

• Excellent for short- and medium-run production

OTHER APPLICATIONS

In addition to fishing tackle, spin casting has historically been used for producing:

• Jewelry components

• Belt buckles

• Pewter figurines

• HO / model railroad miniatures

• Automotive emblems

• Decorative hardware

• Medallions

• Badges

• Promotional products

• Small industrial castings

• Prototype and reproduction parts
