PERTOT 12" RUBBER MOLD VULCANIZER – 32-TON HYDRAULIC PRESS – SPIN CAST MOLD MAKING – FISHING JIGS, SINKERS, WEIGHTS & PEWTER – 220V – REFURBISHED – TESTED & RUNNING
DESCRIPTION
Available for immediate sale is this Pertot 12" Rubber Mold Vulcanizer, professionally refurbished, tested, and running excellent.
This heavy-duty vulcanizing press is designed for producing 12" heat-cured rubber molds used in centrifugal spin casting, and is an excellent machine for manufacturers producing:
- Fishing Jig Heads
- Lead Sinkers
- Fishing Weights
- Lead & Pewter Components
- Jewelry
- Buckles
- Medallions
- Decorative Hardware
- Small Cast Metal Parts
- Prototype & Production Castings
AN EXCELLENT STEP UP FROM INDIVIDUAL HAND-POUR MOLDS
For fishing tackle manufacturers, spin casting can provide a major production advantage over traditional single-cavity or limited-cavity aluminum hand-pour molds.
Instead of individually pouring one or only a few jig heads, sinkers, or weights at a time, a properly designed 12" centrifugal spin-cast rubber mold can contain multiple cavities arranged around the mold.
Molten lead, pewter, or other suitable low-melting-point casting alloy is introduced into the center of the spinning mold, where centrifugal force distributes the metal through runners into the individual cavities.
This allows multiple parts to be cast during a single production cycle, greatly increasing output for repetitive products such as:
- Jig Heads
- Bank Sinkers
- Egg Sinkers
- Pyramid Sinkers
- Bullet Weights
- Specialty Fishing Weights
- Lead Components
- Pewter Components
For a growing fishing tackle manufacturer, this system can provide an economical transition from manual hand pouring to true batch production.
HOW THE VULCANIZER WORKS
The vulcanizer is used to manufacture the rubber production mold that will later be installed in a centrifugal spin casting machine.
A master pattern or group of master patterns is arranged between layers of uncured mold rubber inside an appropriate mold frame.
The mold assembly is then placed between the heated platens of the vulcanizer.
The hydraulic press applies compression while the electrically heated platens bring the rubber to the required curing temperature.
The combination of:
HEAT + PRESSURE + TIME
cures the rubber around the master patterns and produces a durable production mold.
After vulcanization, the mold is removed, separated, and finished by cutting the appropriate center sprue, runners, gates, vents, and other required passages.
The finished rubber mold can then be installed in a compatible 12" centrifugal spin casting machine for production.

IDEAL FOR FISHING TACKLE MANUFACTURERS
This machine is particularly attractive to manufacturers currently producing fishing tackle using individual aluminum molds.
A spin casting operation can allow a manufacturer to place numerous jig heads, sinkers, weights, or other components into a single 12" production mold.
Once the mold has been properly developed, the operator can repeatedly cast batches of components rather than manually filling individual cavities one at a time.
For the right product, this can substantially increase production throughput while reducing repetitive hand-pouring labor.
The system is especially useful for manufacturers producing repeat quantities of the same fishing tackle components.
