Available for immediate sale is this Schläfli Engineering acuwire-S High-Precision Small-Bore Wire Honing Machine, Swiss manufactured and designed specifically for precision finishing, sizing, geometry correction, and surface improvement of extremely small internal bores.

The Schläfli acuwire-S utilizes a highly specialized precision wire-honing process for finishing extremely small holes that are difficult or impossible to accurately process using conventional honing or grinding equipment.

This process is capable of improving bore diameter, roundness, cylindricity, concentricity, and internal surface finish in precision components manufactured from materials including carbide, technical ceramics, ruby, sapphire, steel, medical alloys, and other hard or precision materials.

The acuwire-S is designed for extremely small bore diameters ranging approximately from 0.04 mm through 0.80 mm.

This machine is equipped with a Siemens SIMATIC touchscreen HMI control system providing programmable automatic operation and convenient adjustment of honing parameters including final diameter, wire threading diameter, working force, spindle speed, wire movement, grinding method, and process cycles.
