DESCRIPTION

Available for immediate sale is this Belmont Technologies CNC Sinker EDM System, a heavy-duty ram-type electrical discharge machine designed for precision mold, die, tooling, cavity, and electrode machining applications.

This machine is equipped with a 60 Amp EDM power supply, CNC/digital operator control system, adjustable orbital EDM head / orbiting electrode fixture, drop-style dielectric work tank, integrated dielectric circulation and filtration system, and an automatic fire suppression system.

A particularly desirable feature of this machine is the orbital electrode head mounted beneath the ram. The orbital system allows controlled eccentric/orbiting movement of the electrode during the EDM process rather than relying solely on straight Z-axis penetration. This capability is useful for controlling cavity size and clearance, improving dielectric flushing, producing more uniform finishes, and performing precision finishing operations.

ORBITAL EDM HEAD

This machine is equipped with an adjustable orbital EDM head / electrode orbiting attachment mounted beneath the vertical ram.

Unlike a conventional fixed electrode holder that feeds the electrode only vertically into the workpiece, an orbital system provides controlled eccentric movement of the electrode during the EDM cycle.
