DESCRIPTION

Available for immediate sale is a Jones & Shipman Model 1300 Universal Cylindrical Grinder featuring 10" swing × 27" between centers capacity and equipped for both external OD and internal ID grinding.

This is a classic heavy-duty Jones & Shipman precision toolroom grinder manufactured in Leicester, England, designed for precision cylindrical, internal and toolroom grinding applications.

A particularly desirable feature of this machine is its dual-purpose / swing-around grinding head arrangement. The machine can be configured for conventional external cylindrical grinding using the large grinding wheel, or the head can be repositioned to utilize the high-speed internal grinding spindle for smaller ID grinding wheels and mounted grinding points.

This greatly expands the capability of the machine compared with a conventional OD-only cylindrical grinder.

The machine also includes a large assortment of original tooling and accessories, including internal grinding components, centers, wheel-related tooling, magnetic chuck, wrenches, setup tooling and miscellaneous grinding accessories as shown in the photographs.
